Good art is interesting to everyone, but only speaks to a select group. I create art that will make people laugh but at the same time educate them about underlying issues.
My idea of a good piece of art is something that has a main message behind it, along several underlying meanings. There may be an obvious impression of the piece, but the real reason is hidden, waiting to be found.
My use of whimsical items to reinforce pressing issues is key in my work. Through humor and sarcasm my pieces display a strong opinion on everyday subjects. When commissioning a piece, I start main theme, then branch off into smaller, more subjective, messages. Every piece is meant to evoke emotion in all viewers, no matter their background or political stance.
I started designing digitally in high school and have since been fascinated with the amount of creations that can be made using adobe software. When creating my art, I work mostly in a digital setting. As a training landscape architect, I use many CAD programs to aid in my creations. They allow for precise measurements and scaling.
On a more recreational setting, photoshop is my more artistic program.
In the future I would like to put my love of design, as well as my interest in conservation, into designing parks. These parks will be naturalistic water treatment divisions along waterways, that double as recreational and relaxation areas. They will help the environment and help educate people on the differences between natural and man-made landscapes.
